Ringing Options

To set a distinct ringtone

By default, your incoming calls will ring with the standard ringtone, unless you set a unique one.

  1. On the Home dashboard under Phone Status, click Rules.
  2. Click the link in the sentence: “To begin start with an example set of rules.”
  3. Click Normal and then Edit.
  4. Under “When no rules apply,” select ring my phone using, and choose one of the distinctive ringtones from the dropdown.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Click Apply to save your changes and complete the rule setup.
  7. Go to the Summary tab to choose when different sets of rules are used.

To set up rules for sequential or simultaneous ring

Sequential ring allows you to have lines ring in a predefined sequence you set. Simultaneous ring allows you to ring multiple lines at the same time.

  1. On the Home dashboard under Phone Status, click Rules.
  2. Click the link in the sentence: “To begin start with an example set of rules.”
  3. Click Normal and then Edit.
  4. Select ring more than one phone at the same time or in sequence, and then Next.
    • The first line will always start ringing immediately, and you can have more than one line ring at the same time. If a line is busy, the next available line will start ringing immediately. All lines will stop ringing when the call is answered. If you don’t answer or all lines are busy, the action selected here will be applied – rather than the overall setup you may have established on the Summary tab.
  5. Enter a number you’d like to ring in addition to yours, and select Start and End times (by seconds).
    • If you choose 0 for your Start time, the line will ring at the same time as yours.
    • If you choose another number of seconds, that line will ring after yours.
  6. If you’d like more lines on your list, click Add, and enter other numbers and choose Start and End times.
  7. Determine the ringtone you’d like for your line (standard or distinctive).
  8. If the call isn’t answered or all lines are busy, select whether you’d like the call to go to Voicemail or another specified forwarding number.
  9. Click Finish and then Apply to save your changes and complete the rule setup.
  10. Go to the Summary tab to choose when different sets of rules are used.
