When you’re running a business, you have to keep up with what your customers want. At Midco, that’s always our goal. We’re innovating to bring the best products, services and experiences to all our business partners.

Midco President and Chief Operating Officer Benjamin Dold talks about what’s on the horizon at Midco for the rest of 2025 and beyond.

New Business Products

Staying connected is key. Whether you’re talking to your customers or keeping an eye on your security, you need to know what’s going on. In 2025, Midco brought a number of new business products to market to help make your business run smoother.

“You want to work smarter not harder,” said Dold. “We want to help you do that. We’re continually optimizing these new products so you have exactly what you need to get the job done.”

SD-WAN

With our SD-WAN solution, you get a networking solution with automatic failover with advanced firewall protection. It includes threat protection and content filtering - protecting every site and connecting team members with encrypted VPN tunnels.

Connect

Make talking with clients and internal team members easier. Midco Business Connect lets you use an application you might already have - Microsoft Teams - to make calls from a local number.

Texting

Calling isn’t the only way to stay in touch. Midco Business Texting levels up messaging with appointment reminders, automated responses and personalized texts for when you’re away.

Community Wi-Fi

Property owners and managers can deliver a better internet experience for their residents, without direct fiber connectivity.

Fiber Expansion and Upgrades

More speed in more places. Midco is committed to bringing the latest fiber technology to more areas across our five-state footprint. This means more businesses can experience higher – and possibly symmetrical – upload and download speeds without a dedicated fiber solution.

“When you’re working with large files or holding a video conference, you need proven reliability,” stated Dold. “Midco is committed to the continuous improvement of our network infrastructure. These upgrades are critical to our strategy of having the best network and the best customer experience.”

This year alone we have made strides in upgrading and expanding services in places like Jamestown, ND, Minnetrista, MN, and Rapid City, SD.

Midco Mobile

The same nationwide reliability as major carriers at a fraction of the price with dependable customer service – that's our goal in launching Midco Mobile to our residential customers.

“Diversifying into the mobile space is an emerging trend for internet service providers,” explained Dold. “This is a large initiative for us and one that we have considered for some time. But before we entered the market, we wanted to make sure we had a product that would be right for our customers. It’s exciting to now offer a mobile solution that delivers coast-to-coast coverage at a better value – all backed by our best-in-class customer service.”

While our residential customers will be the first to experience our mobile service, our goal is to offer plans more suited to our business customers in the future.

“As we continue to develop and rollout Midco Mobile to a residential audience, we want the businesses who already rely on us for internet, VoIP and other services to know that we’re thinking about them and their needs for future iterations,” said Dold.
