Voicemail allows you to access your phone messages while you're in your business or away from work. 

Standard voicemail from Midco Business includes a main greeting with several basic options to reach others. You and your employees can each have their own voicemail box with a unique greeting and password. Customize your greeting to let people know they’ve reached the right person.

Your business can further customize voicemail with eVOICE and several other features (which may vary by location).

These voicemail instructions are intended for business phone customers in MN, ND and SD. If you're a KS phone customer, view these voicemail instructions.

How to access your voicemail

Who: MN, ND and SD phone customers

To access your voicemail from your business phone:

  1. Dial 611 and follow the prompts. Your 10-digit mailbox number is your area code + phone number. If auto login is on, skip to steps 2 and 3.
  2. Press #.
  3. If requested, enter your password, then #. Your default password is 0000.

Important: We strongly recommend that you change your password.

To access your voicemail when you’re away from your business:

  1. Dial 1.877.700.2224, and then follow the prompts. Your 10-digit mailbox number is your area code + phone number. 
  2. If requested, enter your password, then #. Your default password is 0000.

 

How to manage your voicemail

Who: MN, ND and SD phone customers

  • Press 1 to play message.
  • Press 2 to save message and go to next one. 
  • Press 3 to delete message and go to next one. 
  • Press 4 to save message as new. 
  • Press 7 to back up three seconds.
  • Press 8 to pause/continue message.
  • Press 9 to go forward three seconds.
  • Press * to return to the main menu.

How to set up or change your voicemail greeting

Who: MN, ND and SD phone customers

Each user with a voicemail box should set up a voicemail greeting so callers know they have reached your business and that you will return their calls.

To set up your voicemail greeting:

  1. Access your voicemail.
  2. Press 9 for your mailbox setup menu.
  3. Press 1 for greeting options.
  4. Choose your next greeting option to perform a specific greeting function.
    • Press 1 to listen to your greeting.
    • Press 2 to save your greeting. (You must save your greeting to activate it.)
    • Press 3 to delete your greeting.
    • Press 4 to record your greeting.
    • Press * to return to the main menu.

How to change your voicemail password

Who: MN, ND and SD phone customers

  1. Access your voicemail.
  2. Press 9 for your mailbox setup menu.
  3. Press 2 to change your password.
  4. Enter a new password you can remember (up to 16 digits), and press #.
  5. Re-enter your new password to verify it.
  6. Press * to return to the main menu.

How to navigate your voicemail main menu

After accessing your voicemail, choose your next message option to perform a specific function.

  • Press 1 to retrieve messages.
  • Press 2 to go to saved messages.
  • Press to hear current date and time.
  • Press 9 for your mailbox setup menu.

How to navigate through messages while listening to a message

Who: MN, ND and SD phone customers

When you’re actively listening to a message, choose your next message option to perform a specific function.

  • Press 1 to play a message.
  • Press 2 to save the message and go to the next one.
  • Press 3 to delete the message and go to the next one.
  • Press 4 to save the message as new.
  • Press 7 to back up three seconds in the message playback.
  • Press 8 to toggle between pausing or continuing message playback.
  • Press 9 to move forward three seconds in the message playback.
  • Press * to return to the main menu.
