Weekly Schedule

With the weekly schedule, you can apply different rules to your calls based on the time of day or day of the week.

To set up a weekly schedule using a predefined example

  1. On the Home dashboard under Phone Status, click Weekly Schedule.
  2. Click the link for An example schedule that you can customize (recommended).
  3. Review the calendar. Select a time period (lunch, weekend or working hours), and then click the corresponding timeslot on the calendar.
    • To see the calendar in different views, click Zoom In or Zoom Out at the bottom of the calendar.
    • You can have up to three time periods. If you’d like to rename a time period, click Rename and enter a new name. Click OK.
  4. Click Apply to save your changes and complete the weekly schedule setup.
  5. Go to the Summary tab to choose which incoming call rules apply during the periods you have defined.

To set up a weekly schedule from scratch

  1. On the Home dashboard under Phone Status, click Weekly Schedule.
  2. Click the link for A blank schedule.
  3. Click Add New Period to create a new time period (up to three). Enter a Name for that time period, and click OK.
  4. Select a Period, and then click the corresponding timeslot on the calendar.
    • To see the calendar in different views, click Zoom In or Zoom Out at the bottom of the calendar.
    • You can have up to three time periods. If you’d like to rename a time period, click Rename and enter a new name. Click OK.
  5. Click Apply to save your changes and complete the weekly schedule setup.
  6. Go to the Summary tab to choose which incoming call rules apply during the periods you have defined.

To apply weekly schedule and special days rules to your incoming calls

  1. On the Home dashboard under Phone Status, click Summary.
  2. Under “When I receive a call,” select Handle depending on time or day. (If you have not set up a weekly schedule yet, a link will display. Click the link to set this on the Weekly Schedule tab.)
    • Select which rules (Normal, Reject Calls or Screen Calls) you’d like to apply during your specified time periods (Lunch, Weekend, Working Hours) and all other times.
    • Select which rules (Normal, Reject Calls or Screen Calls) you’d like to apply during your Special Days. If you have not set up these days yet, click the Special Days link to go to the Special Days tab. Refer to the Special Days section on page 23 for details.
  3. Click Apply to save your changes.
